Our Vision

Welcome to my blog! I'm Sophia, a Doctor of Pharmacy. I believe that health is not just the absence of illness but a dynamic interplay of multiple dimensions that contribute to a truly fulfilling life. The mission of this blog is to explore the 7 common dimensions of health and well-being —physical, emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, and occupational—through well-researched and accessible content. I aim to create a space where recent studies and emerging insights are presented to enhance our understanding of these vital components.

WhY 7 Dimensions?

The philosophy of health and well-being embraces the complexity of human experience. The 7 dimensions represent different but interconnected areas of our lives that contribute to overall well-being:

  1. Physical: Nurturing the body through proper nutrition, exercise, and preventive care.
  2. Emotional: Understanding and managing emotions for a balanced mental state.
  3. Intellectual: Fostering curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
  4. Social: Building meaningful relationships and cultivating a sense of belonging.
  5. Spiritual Health: Seeking purpose, values, and a sense of connection beyond oneself.
  6. Environmental: Creating and maintaining supportive living spaces that promote wellness.
  7. Occupational: Promoting and maintaining physical, mental and social well-being of employees in the workplace.
